Pacific coast cyclone reports
SMN, part of CONAGUA, publishes tropical cyclone notices for Mexico. Check the Pacific notice for systems near the Pacific coast and use the separate Atlantic notice for Gulf and Caribbean systems.
Baja California and mainland Mexico
A cyclone can affect the peninsula and mainland at different times. Read the places named in each notice and local Protección Civil instructions; a coastal forecast does not establish conditions throughout an entire state.
Use NHC and SMN together
