IMD cyclone information
IMD’s RSMC New Delhi portal provides cyclone information for the North Indian Ocean. Use its official bulletins and track products for Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea systems.
Choose the right basin and coastline
A Bay of Bengal system and an Arabian Sea system concern different coastlines. Check the basin, coastal locations and validity period in the bulletin rather than relying on a storm name alone.
Combine track and impact products
Use the cyclone bulletin alongside IMD weather warnings and local disaster-management notices. Cyclone category, rainfall and coastal flooding describe different aspects of risk; none should replace the others.
